“Sandra has helped me in a way that I never expected. I had thought about talking to someone for years, on an off, about something that happened in my childhood, but never acted upon it. I thought what happened to me, all those years ago, wasn’t really affecting me and my day to day life, I thought that I was fairly normal so didn’t see the benefit of bringing it all up. But then things happened which caused me to question my beliefs about my stability and so I sought out a therapist, and found Sandra (and her cats).

During our sessions, I made some revelations that I would never have made on my own. Sandra helped me work out what was really upsetting me, and it wasn’t what I, or anyone who knew me, thought it would be. I had so many opinions from everyone around me that my opinion was lost to me, the truth was lost, but Sandra helped me listen to myself and figure out what the truth was. She helped me realise that I needed to think about myself for a change, actually stick up for myself, to believe in myself and trust my own thoughts and feelings about things because I was important.

Sandra was kind, empathetic and understanding. There were some tears along the way (but she has a ready supply of tissues) I cannot thank her enough for her help, I’ve come on leaps and bounds since our sessions and haven’t felt better about myself and my relationships in years.”

“I contacted Sandra for help with depression and anxiety. Talking to Sandra helped me to filter through all of my thoughts, some of which were very intrusive and repetitive.

Sandra helped me to take a step back, check and challenge my way of thinking. This helped me to view events in a more balanced way. It helped me to realise I tend to see things in a very black/white, wrong/right kind of way and I naturally assume that things are my fault. However, talking to Sandra has helped me not to take on other people’s issues as something I have done wrong and to accept that I am only responsible for my thoughts and actions, not other people’s.
